Living in Michigan’s capital of Lansing, John earned his Bachelor’s in Marketing Management from Michigan State University and played goalie in men’s ice hockey for the Spartans.ĭeborah Bourke is Director, Engineering Program Management at Harbinger, where her detail-oriented approach is supporting the on-time and on-budget delivery of the company’s medium-duty commercial electric vehicle (CEV). Additionally, he is the founder of Created to C, an entrepreneur investment firm and incubator that works with numerous clean and green tech start-ups that are both environmentally and socially conscious. His intuitive approach and focus on value creation propelled Spartan to grow in the world of specialty vehicles from $10 million in sales to more than $500 million, provide 22 consecutive years of dividends, and grow through the acquisition of Utilimaster and their Isuzu assembly partnership. ![]() Prior to Harbinger, John served as President and CEO of Spartan Motors, which employed 1,800 individuals across five states. ![]() A disciplined believer that one can see the future with greater clarity through data, John brings more than 30 years of experience in chassis and commercial truck bodies. John Sztykiel is Vice President of Business Development at Harbinger, focused on partner engagement, strategic planning, and global growth. Earlier in his career, Michael worked at a major law firm in Chicago and Silicon Valley where he focused on M&A, capital markets and emerging technology startups.Ī native of New Orleans, Michael earned his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago. He played a critical role in building many of Canoo’s legal and business functions, leading the company through IPO and its transition to a publicly-traded company. Prior to Harbinger, Michael was deputy general counsel and VP of global strategy at Canoo, leading corporate legal, securities, regulatory, product, and government affairs.
